A Paddys weekend gig will take place at McGirls on Sat 20th March, when LOS LANGEROS make a welcome return to this region. McGirls Bar, Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim will play host to the legendary LOS LANGEROS on Saturday 20th March.
The amazing Langeros have been around gigging for over 6 years now and have independently released three full length Cds to great critical acclaim. The 5 piece band (6 for this show with the addition of a trumpet player) consists of Pedro Dolphino on mandolin, the Nodge on guitar, vocals, mouth organ, jews harp and tambourine, Captain Phil Langero on lead guitar and vocals all ably backed up by the powerhouse rhythm section of Joe Bandito on bass and Keri Cajones on drums.
This psychotropic goat punk band regularly dazzle audiences at the main festivals throughout the year, including Cork jazz fest, electric picnic, mantua and oxygen. Their groove is a punkabilly ska tinged medley of sing-along choruses and distorted 12 string melodies guaranteed to work any crowd into a slobbering mess. Hailing from Cork Los Langeros fuse careering electric mandolin, punkabilly-country with fervid stage antics and a sense of unpredictability, in short they are the ultimate good time party band, of that you can rest assured it will be a night you will remember!
This will be the last Los Langeros gig in Ireland until May as they set off on a tour of Russia throughout April.
